1700 Squirrels
Providence, Rhode Island

This is a drawing of 1700 squirrels.
Every attempt was made to draw each of the squirrels in their own unique poses.
The squirrels were drawn with a ¼ inch CP-64 flatback tape.
This drawing was created by one person working from 8am to 10pm for fourteen days in a row.
The finished work was up for one day and then removed by a group of people in less than an hour and a half.
This location is the birthplace of the first Tape Art drawings in the late 80’s.
The final piece was the second try at create this drawing.
The first bid to make this drawing had peaked at approximately 1300 squirrels before rain, in combination with pedestrian foot traffic, led to its accident destruction.
